Updates on Publications, and The Lingering Elephant!

Let’s address the elephant lingering over us- It’s been more than a while since my last post. This is probably not a huge shocker to those who have been following me for a while as I’ve always been known for being inconsistent with my posting schedule. But I’m happy to say I have a pretty good reason for my absence from this blog. I’ve been doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work for a project I’ll be announcing to you all in the semi-near future on this very blog! Working on this secret project of mine has kind of shifted my focus away from blogging more often, to posting more poetry of mine on my Instagram which I’ll link here.

However, I’ll continue to be posting all updates, readings, announcements of publications, and longer pieces on this website. It goes without saying, but if you haven’t subscribed yet below you might want to!

Speaking of updates, I announced back in February that I would have a couple of my poems published in Sunday Mornings at The River for their summer anthology. Well! It’s summer time baby, and you can finally read those poems for yourself if you so please by purchasing it here. This is the first time my words have been published in an actual book, and though I won’t be making anything off of it ( just to clarify for those who follow me and aren’t familiar with how anthologies typically work) it is something I am very proud of myself for!

I also had the pleasure of doing a live reading of one of my pieces that you can check out at no cost on their Youtube channel which I will link here. My reading starts at the timestamp 6:06. This is the first time I’ve read one of my pieces in a long time, and though I’m not as polished as I was back when I was doing slam poetry in High School, it was still a blast to do again! I’d love to host a live reading in the future on my Instagram, sharing not only my own pieces but from other talented writers in our lovely community.

Lastly, I have been working here and there to keep this website up to date, so if there’s anything you’d like me to add, or any comments you have revolving around it- I’d love to hear your thoughts! Thank you for your continued support, and I can’t wait to share with you my little secrets of what greatness is yet to come!
